Acceptable Use Policy
NextiaInvoices sends documents and email on your behalf to people who did not sign up with us. That makes how you use it our concern. This policy is short and specific rather than sweeping — we would rather draw the line clearly than reserve a vague right to act.
1. Do not use the service to defraud
You may not issue invoices for goods or services you did not provide and do not intend to provide, impersonate another business, misrepresent who you are to an invoice recipient, or use the service to launder funds or evade taxes.
You may not configure a payment URL that leads to a phishing page, that impersonates a payment provider or financial institution, or that is designed to capture credentials.
2. Do not misuse email delivery
The invoicing and reminder email in NextiaInvoices exists to send business documents to clients who have a genuine business relationship with you. You may not use it for unsolicited bulk email, newsletters, marketing campaigns, or messages to addresses you obtained without a business relationship.
You may not send reminders at a volume or frequency that constitutes harassment, and you must honour a recipient’s request to stop being contacted through the service.
3. Do not attack or degrade the service
You may not:
- attempt to access data belonging to another business or user
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service except under our responsible-disclosure terms
- circumvent rate limits, entitlement checks or authorization controls
- upload malware, or content designed to exploit a viewer’s software
- automate access in a way that degrades service for others, or scrape the service at scale
- resell or sublicense access to the service without a written agreement with us
4. Do not upload unlawful content
You may not upload content that is unlawful where you or your client is located, that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, or that you do not have the right to use — including logos and trademarks belonging to others.
5. Fair use
Invoices, clients, services and quotations are unlimited on every plan. We apply internal fair-use protections against abuse — automated bulk generation, or activity indistinguishable from an attack — designed so that normal business use is never restricted. AI features carry their own documented usage limits.
If your legitimate use ever approaches a protection threshold, we would rather talk to you than throttle you. Contact us.
6. Enforcement
Where circumstances allow, we contact you before acting, and a warning is the normal first step. Where activity endangers the service, other customers, or the recipients of documents sent through it, we may suspend access immediately and investigate after.
Suspension for abuse does not by itself cause your data to be deleted. Where we terminate an account for a serious breach, you will be given the opportunity to export your data unless doing so would be unlawful or would frustrate an investigation.
To report abuse of the service by another user, write to the security address on our contact page.
